My name is Dale and I got the bug about a year and a half ago to try RC helicopters. Back in my younger years I did U-Control powered airplanes. During college I moved into RC power planes but they were way to fast for me. Since most of what I know was self taught I looked for slower things to do in RC. For many years I did RC gliders and really enjoyed it but it was a long drive to the flying field so I gave it up for family things. I always liked RC Helicopters but in the beginning (I mean the very first hobby one a long time ago) they were complex, extensive and hard to learn, electric was not an option. Then came complex swash plate designs that were very hard to learn and extremely expensive to buy, build and maintain but looked like the real thing.
Over a year ago I saw an ad for a Walkera small electric heli that had a three axes gyro and was reasonable as a complete system so I jumped in. Well, the M120D01 was and still is a bit too much for me but I have gotten better with simple flight maneuvers. I also have a Sema S107, a Uflys, a Genius CP and a Ladybird. The draw for the last two is that I can fly them in my house.
I was working with another shop on the Internet that had less than good fast customer support so I was searching for a solution to my technical problem on my own one evening on the Internet and I found a link to Dave’s shop and checked it out. We had a few email threads to work through my problem. He responded faster and with more information than anyone else and I got back in the air. He has since helped me with spare parts and some model configurations for my Ladybird that work great.
I agree with the statement majic1 made in realtion to Dave " He really puts a lot of effort in customer service and that is worth it's weight in gold."
Glad to be here and hope to read postings from all of you.
