Got my new Spacewalker in today. I am impressed it flies great. On the second battery pack I hung a keychain camera under it. It took the weight with no problem. It might have made the octo even more stable. But I did notice that one of the motors is stiffer than the others. It stops as soon as I remove throttle and it feels stiff when it is turned by hand. Is this a concern? Should I be looking for a way to free up this motor or replacing it?

All of the motors on my Space Walker turn freely. Not sure if yours is or will have a problem - sorry.

That motor did stop working. I ordered another one.

I have had minor motor sticking problems with my QRX350 some time ago but fixed it by carefully loosening up the set screw of the motor shaft , giving the shaft a quick "rap" with a rubberized handled screwdriver (prop AND hub installed) then resetting the set srew with a thread locking compound . This procedure frees up the sticking problem quite effectively and makes the current draw of the motor drop considerably . (Less current needed to attain speed RPMs)
Note that there is a "c clip" on the motor shaft used to limit the movement of it compared to its adjoining bearing . I have used this technique to adjust all of the motors of my quads and airplanes and it works well . Don't pitch out the old motor ; yet .
