Sorry, I still haven't gotten used to which one I have yet. I actually have the QR X400 version of this quad.
You are ahead of me by one battery on this fun quad. Got mine Christmas day and have gone through three batteries so far. I removed expo from throttle (not sure why I had any on there anyway) and added some to the other three functions. I tried it in stunt mode for minute or two on the second battery and switched back to beginner until I have more time on it. Wish I could show video but haven't gotten there yet.
This is quad is very responsive to all inputs. It is large and with the lights, very visible during the day and especially late evening. Haven't flown it in full darkness yet but that will be fun when I get the nerve up to do it. This does have a lot of reserve power so adding the camera is definitely and option I will investigate in the near future. I really want to look into FPV options for this.

I took my QR X400 out after dark earlier this week with all the lights added to it. It is very bright and I drew a crowd to watch it fly. Flying in total darkness was very scary for me even though I always knew where it was and its orientation to me. I couldn't see anything but the X400 even though there are trees somewhere in the park and a few people. I was quite disoriented in general. Back to day flying for a while until I get more time on this quad.

do both the MX-400 and the QR -400 fly with black arms as the front or orange , think I have a hybird of both and now i,m not really sure . I would imagine it is easy to tell on the QR cause of the canopy direction in pictures etc . have not really hovered her nicly yet so I have not been able to tell . I know its a dopey question Thanks Jim

The QR X400 comes with the orange in the front. My Hoten X has the orange props in the back. I am not sure if there is some kind of "standard" that Walkera uses when building these. As I remember it the Ladybird has the orange props in the back. The Space Walker has the orange in the back. The Scorpion has the orange in the back. I guess the answer is it depends. Not sure about the MX400. I know someone on this forum has the MX400S which looks similar. Maybe they can jump in here and help out.

In all actuality, it doesn't matter as long as you have the proper pitched prop matched to the spindle (props for CCW rotation are pitched one way, for CW rotation, another) so you can put the colors where you want. Standard convention is orange in the rear and black on the front, howeve.
