I am new to quads, bought myself a QR X350 FPV and a GoPro Hero 3+ silver edition. I am hearing they because both work off the same frequency, 2.4 there is a very real chance of losing control of the quad. I liked the idea of using the go pro wi if but now I'm a bit nervous to give it a try. Can someone give me some feedback on this, is this a real possibility.

Very interested in your question which I'm not able to answer but I just experienced what I think may be a communication failure while flying my QR X350 Pro with a Go Pro 3+. I was flying for about 2 min. when I lost control. I noticed sluggish response and little if no control. I immediately switched to the go home mode and it shut down. Reviewing the video from the Go Pro and noticed as soon as it was put into the go home mode the video stopped. No video of the crash was on it. Very strange. I have flown this configuration many times and no issues. I have not used the go home mode very frequently if any because i never had a loss of control before. The wifi was not turned on at the time it took off i do believe.
