I have tried everything to get the quad to calibrate but no go. I try the calibration positions on the radio and SOMETIMES I get a rapid flashing of the left green light. I've done the update, and still nothing. It will fly. The gyro seems to be working...kind of, if you grab it while flying, it will try to correct itself, but not very well. It won't position hold at all, and will not return to home...Any idea's?

I think so. Whenever I try to trim it, it seems to make the trim worse. I have tried trimming both ways. I have since replaced and updated the main control board. Something I shouldn't have to do. Its never been crashed hard enough to break anything. Should I try to warrantee it?

From controller, check under function->monit where you can see your trim ppositions. For me these trim positions prevented unlocking motors and calibrating went wrong...

Check your trims and put to 0 then calibrate.

There is another FORUM board on this website that has these answers to this problem .
In a "nut shell " : IF you have used any end throw limiting , you have restricted the DIGITAL value of the stick position to a value less than 100 % . The firmware needs to see values of 100% for the throttle and rudder to invoke the calibration sub-routine .
Another thing too check is that your TRIM values are at zero before flying ! And especially before saving the settings into memory within the radio .
A RULE : ALWAYS make a copy of the original QRX350 model setting to monkey around with ! Never screw around with the original file .
Hope this helps . RickC

RickC I had this weird prob, i did make a copy of original settings, but i couldnt unlock motors with the copy ? Trims were where they are supposed to, but no unlock ? So i was "forced" to change original. I have tried copying several times with no luck .. What could be the problem ?

It sounds like you are on the right track by making a COPY of the factory original file to try out settings with .
Does your machine unlock the motors when using the original factory settings ? (MODEL ----> QRX350) For my radio , I have 6 models in there stored up . My trick is to make sure to select the proper model before flying . Maybe you are doing something similar . POINT to the QRX350 model firstly before flying.
What exact changes have you made ? If any of them involve DUAL RATES or END THROW ADJUSTs , remember that your NEW values are no going to add up to 100% . This is important as the firmware in the radio used to do the UNLOCK function wants to see the throttle at 0% and the rudder at 100% before arming . If you have dual rates on , for example ; those numbers may be 70% max and the unlock won't work .
When you do get this figured out and you want to "Dummy Down" the sticks to make it easier to learn flying , use end throws of about 80% on the rudder , 70% on the elevator and aileron ; 100% on the throttle . Also try dual rates set up for 70% on all values . This makes the 350 a WAY easier to fly on for first flights . Remeber though that these values have now changed the digital values like so :
Example : Rudder end throws +- 80% , dual rates +- 70% would yield a digital value of : ( .8 * .7 * 100 ) = about 56 . NOT 100% !!!
