Hello all, from up here in Ontario, Canada. I just got my X350. The setup went fine I think... First, what is the two lead red plug for. Second, I went through all the set up and it's hard to get off the ground and it won't fly flat. Third, is there anywhere that shows you how to set everything up on the DX8. Thanks

the red plug is for the FPV TX antennae, did you calibrate it before flying? thats a must. i dont know about the DX radio, the manual shows how to calibrate using the stock radio

I am also from Ontario and having the same issues. The copter dives violently to random directions upon lift off. Using DX7S . Have calibrated many times to no avail. Seems to have a mind of it's own. Several other members of the club being experts, have been unable to get the unit to fly without diving and crashing.

There is a new firmware update out for it. V 1.3 i believe. Its suppose to address these issues. Make sure you calibrate exactly how the manual instructs.

Yes I have calibrated everything and it seems to have fix the taking off issue. I guess I haven't had it in an open place to really experiment. Things are going much better now. One thing I found is, even if you have a bad landing, like if it flips, you MUST recallibrate the accelerometer and gyro. Then I found it flys nice. I attached my Gopro and it flew great in a pretty stiff wind. I was impressed...I don't think I would have flown one of my planes in that wind.

I installed the new firmware, re-calibrated. Still flips over onto it's back immediately on take off. I replaced the receiver-no change. It did this since new. After much discussion and help from other club members, we all agreed that the main controller board is defective. Hobby King refuses to send a replacement board. They want me to send the whole unit back which will cost me close to $100.00. I am not impressed. I solved the problem by buying another X350 from a different dealer. It flies great! At least I can keep the defective unit for spare parts I guess. Won't be dealing with Hobby King ever again.
