Can someone please explain to me the fixed ID binding? I have read it in the manual and it still seems vague to me. step by step would be great.
thanks

I use it for some of my larger quads. Since I do not have my Tx with me I can't tell you the exact steps to set it but it can' t be done until the model and Tx have already done a bind and are ready to fly. Then you select the Bind ID function. What this does is set a unique code in both the Rx and the Tx that are identical. So then when you have selected that model on your Tx it will not go into auto bind mode and will only acknowledge the matching code in a Tx. What it does on the Rx1002 Rx is cause it to immediately connect at power on. No 5 or 10 or 30 seconds to complete the binding process.
I haven' t started using it on my smaller models but I do on a couple of larger ones. If you use Fixed ID you may need to clear it for future use on a different model or configuration. I haven't had to clear anything yet so don't know for sure why you would want to clear the code. It is easy to clear and is what the little plug with the wire loop is for.
Good luck and let use know if you use it what you think.
Hope this helps.
