I agree with your "next step" comment. I have gone from the Ladybird, Scorpion, Space Walker group of micro birds to the Hoten X and each step has given me more experience that I need to get comfortable with this larger quad. I am working on flipping this one but I have to be very careful as a crash from 20 or so feet will most likely break something which was not the case on the smaller ones.
Just got the QR X400 for Christmas and loving it. I will practice stunt flying on the micros and the Hoten X before trying them on the X400.

I inadvertently purchased a Hoten X-Z-!8 camera from Walkera Helicopter Supply thinking I could use it on another RC quad.....however I cannot find a wiring diagram.....it has a small connector with the following wires......Red, Blue and White.
Can anyone tell me their function so I might wire it for the another RC.
What is the voltage required??

I am curious about the x-z-18 camera too. I have bought one for surveillance purpose and would like some data too. It came with an adaptor wire with some electronics - is it a voltage regulator or a a trigger level changer or?? I have read somewhere that 5V is a suitable supply (red and black wire) and then the white wire has to be signal. In video mode it is start one one pulse and stop on the next, and in still mode it is a normal trigger. But trigger level?? Ground or Vcc?
I understand that most RC-'toys' are plug and play, but that leaves no informations for us DIY-builders. Can anyone help??

Voltage is 3.7 to 7.4 or single cell Lipo and 2 cell Lipo.
Not sure about the signal wire usage. The camera part 18 that is mentioned is a rather old camera that has been replaced by the DV04. Not sure if that helps but they are different internally I have been told.
