H i, I'm in need of some really tiny hexdrivers (Blade holders to feathering shaft. Also tiny cross screwdrivers. What sizes should I be hunting for. The Genius is too delicate (landing skids break off right at the frame) for me, but when I can keep it in the air for a battery or two, it's a blast. That said, I'm enjoying the challenge of making repairs. for the past quarter century, the most complicated thing I've done is install a motherboard in a metal box.

There are multiple solutions I know of for landing gear. 1)A company MIA makes a new reinforced frame called Phantom Combo kit. It is a little expensive and it does replace the entire frame I have seen others who like it. www.micro-flight.com/MIA%20Phantom-Edge%20Bodies.htm2)There is also a wire frame solution that uses the original frame with an a .032 wire incorporated into it. I can't find the link but it is somewhere in the middle of one of the long threads and I don't even know which one. I downloaded the .pdf file to build mine and forgot about it. It is a good cheap approach. I have seen references to other solutions like use hot glue at each joint before they break to reinforce them. Someone suggested using clear acetate glued to the outside of each leg at the joints. Mine broke the first time and then bent to one side on the second frame. Not a very good design. I found using larger batteries made the problem much worse. The next time I order from WHS I intend to get a Mini frame and try to use the landing gear from it attached to the Genius frame. Not sure if it will help but it may make changing them easier.

To answer the question about tools, check out WHS's Tool section. They have a lot of different drives and such. Maybe Dave can help you pick the right tool. I bought a large set of tools from another shop on their advice that it had all I needed for my Genius, M120 and UFLYS. Got it in the mail and still had to dig up a small Phillips screw driver as the set didn't have one. Luckily, one my Tamiya model cars came with a good small driver that I now use for the Genius. I FOUND THE LINK!!!! Here is the URL for the wire frame solution benmlee.com/Genius_Landing_Gear.htm This looks like the cheapest and possibly the best solution for the landing gear.
