I heard back from Walkera's support group concerning my question of how to convert the Space walker to a Y6 configuration. The answer is simple, buy the outriggers or motor arms (whatever you want to call them) attach them to the central frame an upgrade the firmware Walkera provides for the Space walker in the Y6 configuration. This is similar to how they convert the Space walker to the X4 configuration similar to the Ladybird except the Space walker motor mounts won't work to support the upper and lower motors. The only thing Walkera could offer for help was an exploded view of the Scorpion so it may be a little complex if you are not used to figuring out the details. For either conversion (X or Y6) you have to make sure the motors are all turning in the proper direction.

I realized I only half way wrote what is involved to convert the Space Walker to a Y6 configuration so I decided to give all the details I received from Walkera.
"For change to Y6 version, you need to buy the motor frame, Main frame , Skid landing and Propellers of Y6 first. And then change them and connect it as Y6. Attached is the exploded view of Y6 for your reference"
Good luck and let us know if you try it so we know your impressions.

Does not sound like a good option, I would be interested to know if there has been any talk about a + configuration (would it flip and roll better?)
