Ok, uploaded the x4 configuration firmware to the reciever, changed polarity and prop on right front and left rear motors. I get this, in the vid you will see props not turning because I am adjusting rudder in attempt to stop the spin, as soon as it gets enough thrust to start to leave the ground it goes crazy, I am sure the gyro is kicking in and making things much worse, it does this in both 3 axis and 6 axis mode. I have tried several variations in order of plugging the motors in. any suggestions as what could be going on, I either get this crazy spin or it immediately rolls to the side depending on my configuration. I am sure this is a setup issue, just too much of a newb to know where to look so I am kinda firing in the dark. In case your wondering I want to change to the x4 because i keep breaking frames when i crash on the longer booms, just want to save from swapping frames out until I get better at controlling this thing.

Ok I figured it out, after watching this video I figured out the problem, as I suspected it was a configuration issue. Essentially I did not have the motors plugged into the proper ports, so in an attempt to help anyone else in the future they need to be connected in the following way:
Right Front Motor - Port E (closest to battery connection) Right Rear Motor - Port F Left Rear Motor - Port G Left Front Motor - Port H
Once that was corrected it flew like a champ. Basically the Walkera tution video had some poor translation in the subtitles which is what lead to my error. Briefly there is a flashed diagram showing the proper connections but if you follow the subtitles it will be wrong.

Great information. Now I know what to do with my Space Walker. Thanks for the links.

Glad I could help, If i can figure out the Y6 configuration I will share that as well. Right now I am thinking it would be best served using scorpion motors/frame, then just using the receiver but not sure at this point. I have searched and searched but not found any info on the Y6 setup yet. Of course at this point I need to quit making changes and just practice practice practice. Another thought to ease in set-up to the quad, it would be much easier to swap the two motors for ladybird counter clockwise motors. I will say with only the 4 motors and the larger battery It tends to require a lot more throttle to become airborne.

My question to Walkera last week was if they really were specifying a Y3 conjuration since the Y6 makes no sense without a lot of extra money and work to buy the Scorpions outriggers and moving the Spacewalkers motors over to them. That would be a lot of work to thread those power wires down those shafts.
If I hear back from Walkera I will let you know.

See my new thread about the Space Walker in the Y6 configuration. Basically you are right about using Scorpion parts.
